Dinnertime Songfest is an informal event in which people sing the songs that they prepared to prerecorded tracks using a microphone. It’s informal in that families and friends gather to dine while our singers provide the entertainment. Usually each singer presents two songs with a few duets thrown in. The program begins with the least experienced singers and there are many right now for whom this may be their first public performance. Eleven new students began voice training with Christina since last August. As the program unfolds the more advanced singers are truly impressive. It’s a great opportunity for people to meet and hear each other’s music.
The Winter Concert 2012 on March 11th is more formal. There is no use of amplification whatsoever. Howard Rovics accompanies every singer at the piano. Again the less experienced begin the program. Most participants sing two contrasting songs and some do duets.

Two of our students who are highly accomplished singers have a program of their own at 6:00 pm, Dianna Waller and Matt Wilcox. Their program will be about one hour in length. It’s a concert of contemporary musical theater accompanied by Howard Rovics at the piano. They’ve been working on it for months. The music is challenging and exciting.
Some students will appear both at the Dinnertime Songfest and the Winter Concert.
