The first introductory lesson for prospective students costs $75 and it is 45 minutes in length.
All vocal instruction is one-on-one with Christina Rovics. There are no substitute teachers.
You will leave with CD recording of your session in which Christina fully explains her method, demonstrates her voice training exercises, and assesses your needs in order to determine how she can benefit you.
Before you leave you can determine how best to continue your training: weekly singing lessons or occasionally by appointment. The former is on a monthly tuition plan and it is preferred by the majority of her clientele for its affordability and commitment to steady progress. A small number of advanced students opt for the latter.
Both the legitimate (classical) voice and the demands of pop, rock, jazz and musical theater are addressed in a well equipped studio where one can learn to use a microphone skillfully.
Pianist Howard Rovics is on hand to accompany lessons, provide piano instruction if so arranged, and facilitate the use of internet services -- Youtube, iTunes, Musicnotes -- that are often an integral part of effective vocal training.
Students of all ages and levels of development who work regularly with Christina may have the opportunity to share their singing accomplishments on our live concerts or on videos posted on our blog or Facebook studio page with your permission.
