Christina Rovics offers vocal lessons in Fairfield County, CT to anyone and everyone who wants to explore their singing potential. She offers private instruction to children and adults, working closely with her pianist husband Howard Rovics. Together they help students learn to sing skillfully both with and without amplification, with both live piano or synthesized accompaniment and prerecorded tracks.
An accomplished singer and teacher who, having studied at Eastman School of Music and Juilliard, has concertized and taught in Fairfield County, CT for over 20 years. Studies with British basso Raymond Buckingham in the 1980s not only gave her the vocal techniques that made singing in many different styles possible, but also inspired her to begin her teaching career so that she might share with others the techniques that opened so many possibilities and opportunities for her.
Many of Christina Rovicsʼ students have won leading roles in their middle school and high-school musicals, as well as community musical productions in Fairfield County as well as Putnam County and the New Haven area. She has assisted chorus singers in improving their range and learning their music. She has prepared many students for college auditions, professional auditions, and choral auditions (NYSMA and All State Music Festival events. )
Christina Rovics Vocal Studio is located two miles from the center of Bethel, in a spacious, comfortable, quiet setting. All lessons are recorded to CD for the student to practice with. Several performing opportunities are planned each year to give the students experience singing before an audience with confidence.
